Step-by-step setup

  1. Install the app: Download the desktop or mobile app for your system and open it.
  2. Connect device: Connect your hardware wallet via USB or Bluetooth (if supported) and choose “Set up as new device”.
  3. Create PIN: Pick a PIN you will remember—don’t store it digitally.
  4. Write recovery phrase: Carefully write the recovery words in order on paper. This phrase is the only backup of your keys.
  5. Verify words: Confirm a few words on the device when prompted to ensure they were written correctly.
  6. Add accounts: In the app, add cryptocurrency accounts to view balances and prepare transactions.
